Based on the word rhythm of “Rubber Chicken Soup” (four eighth notes and a quarter note), this delightful novelty has a wealth of teaching and musical applications. Ideal for teaching eighth notes, but also features many opportunities to practice retakes. Note: no rubber chickens were harmed in the creation of this piece.

Appropriate for first year string students. All instruments stay in first position, and optional third violin (viola) parts and piano are included to aid in rehearsal and performance situations.
